The Raymond James Corporate & Open Team Challenge

In 2017, the Gasparilla Distance Classic Association welcomed (with open arms) Raymond James, based in St. Petersburg, FL, as host of the Raymond James Team Challenge.

Founded in 1962, Raymond James has been recognized nationally for its community support and corporate philanthropy.  The company has been ranked as one of the best in the country in customer service, as a great place to work and as a national leader in support of the arts.

 

Companies, running clubs, social groups, family and friends can take their Race Weekend experience and performance to the next level by forming a team and participating in the Raymond James Corporate & Open Team Challenge.

2018 Raymond James Team Challenge Entry Fees:

15K Corporate Team/Open Team– $350
5K Corporate Team /Open Team– $250
Half Marathon Corporate Team/Open Team – $500
8K Corporate Team/Open Team– $300

 

The 2018 Raymond James Corporate & Open Team Challenge will consist of four divisions: Men, Women, Mixed and Masters Mixed. Team and individual awards will be presented to the Top 5 Corporate & Open Teams in each of the divisions listed.

In addition to the traditional race amenities, Raymond James Corporate & Open Team Challenge participants will receive the following:

15K, 5K, 8K & Half Marathon Teams

  • Corporate – Team Challenge Running Singlet that includes Team Challenge Artwork and Company Logo
  • Open – Team Challenge Running Singlet that includes Team Challenge Artwork and Team Name
  • Gasparilla Pirate Themed Running Socks
  • Access to private and catered Raymond James Corporate & Open Team Challenge Race Day VIP Tent

Ferman Automotive ‘Fittest Firm’

The Gasparilla Distance Classic Association invites companies to consider entering their employees as a group. By participating, your company and employees can also reap the benefits of team building, corporate visibility and better physical fitness and health.

Though not competing as a team, the company with the largest number of employee participants will be recognized in The Tampa Bay Times and during the Q105 15K & 5K Post-Race Awards Celebration, will receive the Ferman Automotive ‘Fittest Firm’ Award.

Each winning Ferman Automotive ‘Fittest Firm’ team member will also receive a Ferman Automotive Complimentary Oil Change Certificate ($29.95 Value).

To be included in the Ferman Automotive ‘Fittest Firm,’ competition, we ask that the following:

    • Each participating employee must complete and sign a  2018 PGDC Registration Form
    • The employee participant can participate in any of the Race Weekend Events: 15K, 5K, Half Marathon, 8K, Michelob Ultra Challenge, Michelob Ultra Amber Challenge & Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus Challenge
    • Payment of the appropriate Entry Fee for each employee
    • Team Captain will submit the completed Entry Forms, payment and a listing of the employee participants that includes the event(s) that they will run/walk.
    • Once submitted to GDCA, the entries will be processed as a group; each employee participant that provides a correct email address, will receive an email confirmation that will include their assigned Race Number.
    • Prior to Race Weekend, the Team Captain will receive a complete list of their participating employees that will include an assigned Race Number for each
    • Individual employees are responsible for picking up their Race Number, Shirt & Goody Bag during the 8 On Your Side Health & Fitness Expo that will be held in the Tampa Convention Center’s East Hall on the following dates: Friday, February 23:  10am – 8pm & Saturday, February 24:  6am – 5pm

The group entrants will be treated as individual runners and walkers and will receive the traditional runner amenities (shirt, virtual goody bag, Finisher’s Medal and Virtual Finishers Certificate). Registration fees are as follows:
