Online Registration
Beginning April 1, 2011 and until Sunday, February 29, 2012, registration will be available online for the 2012 Publix Super Markets Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K and Gasparilla Half Marathon & 5+3K, as well as the 2012 Challenges. To take advantage of Online Registration, you must have a MasterCard, Visa or American Express and please note, that Service Fees will be charged. Please click the above icon to get started! If you register by mail or online, you MUST pick up your T-shirt and packet during the 8 On Your Side Health & Fitness Expo being held at the Tampa Convention Center – East Hall on Friday, March 2, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and on Saturday, March 3, 6 a.m. – 5 p.m.
On or before February 19, 2012, a Registration Confirmation will be sent via email to all of those who registered for the 2012 events and provided a valid email address. When received, please confirm that all information (event entered, name, address & age) is correct. Please note that bib numbers will not be assigned until the first week in February.
If an email address is not given, a confirmation will not be provided.
2012 Rules and Requirements
Registration Waiver must be signed – the waiver can be found at the bottom of registration form (if participant is under 18 years old, parent or guardian must sign the release).
Age Requirements:
Half-Marathon: At least 14 years old
15K: No age restrictions
5+3K: No age restrictions
5K: No age restrictions
Race numbers and ChronoTrack B-Tags are required for all races.
Refunds and/or transfers of registration are not allowed in the Publix Super Markets Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K or Tampa's Gasparilla Half Marathon & 5+3K.
If you are unable to run the race you registered for due to medical reasons, you may downgrade to a shorter distance. There is no charge for downgrading, however, you will not receive a refund for the difference in entry fee.
If you require a race change, you MUST contact the race office in writing via email or by Friday, February 24, 2012. If the request and change are made prior to Sunday, January 29, 2012, the change will be made at No Charge.
From January 30 - February 24, there will be a $15 fee for making a change in registration. There will be NO changes made over Race Weekend.
If you participate in a race you are NOT registered for, you will NOT be eligible for overall and age group awards.
If you need to make a change in your registration, please submit a request to the GDCA office via email:gdca.registration@verizon.net. Race registration changes will not be made over the phone.
PLEASE NOTE: From January 30 - February 24, there will be a $15 fee for making a change in registration. There will be NO changes made over Race Weekend.
