General Information
The Marathon Relay will provide four runners with the opportunity to participate in Tampa's Gasparilla Marathon and through their team effort, complete the 26.2-miles. The distances of each leg will vary and are as follows:

Registration
Teams may register online or by mail.
Register by mail:
A downloadable entry form is available on this website. Each team member must fill out a separate entry form listing all other team members in their chosen leg (1 - 4). Once individual entry forms are completed, all must be submitted with payment in the same envelope to: GDCA, P.O. Box 1881, Tampa, Fl 33601.
Register Online:
To register online, teams must choose a Team Captain that will complete and make payment for online registration. The Captain will be charged the entire Marathon Relay Entry Fee and will receive all correspondence and registration confirmation. Click here to register online.

Team entry fees (individual fees included in team entry fee):
If registering by mail, please send one check for $200 with the entire team's completed and signed entry forms.
Deadline for entry: Sunday, January, 15, 2009.
Relay Team Bus Drop-Off/Pick-Up Locations:
- Tampa Convention Center – at Franklin Street Entrance
- Bayshore Boulevard & Bay to Bay Miles 16 & 24
- Bayshore Boulevard & Gandy Boulevard Miles 17.5 & 22
The bus will leave the downtown Tampa Pick-Up/Drop-Off Location (Tampa Convention Center– at Franklin Street Entrance– see #3 on Marathon Location Map) and will run continuously from 7:00am – Noon making stops at two drop-off locations every 15 minutes and returning downtown every 30 minutes.
Awards
Team and Individual Awards will be presented in the following Marathon Relay categories:
Runner Premiums
Team members will each recieve an Official 2009 Marathon Relay long-sleeve technical dri-wicking shirt, a Runner Goody Bag, Post Race Food and Beverages, and those teams that cross the Finish Line, a 2009 Tampa Bay Gasparilla Marthon Finisher's Medal with a special relay ribbon.
The Marathon Relay team members that run the first three legs of the relay will be invited to join their "anchor" team member on Bayshore Boulevard and under the Davis Islands Bridge to run the final quarter-mile so that all cross the finish line together and receive their 2009 finisher's medal together.
Packet Pick-Up
Marathon Relay Race Packet, T-shirt, ChampionChip Timing and Race Number Pick-Up will take place during the 8 On Your Side Health & Fitness Expo being held in the Tampa Convention Center – West Hall on Friday, Feb. 27, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 28, beginning at 10 a.m. (following Start of 5K) and until 5 p.m.
