"A Free Day For Kids"

The 2011 Too Good For Drugs Jr. Gasparilla Distance Classic will take place on the University of Tampa Campus at the Art & Polly Pepin Stadium. Pepin Stadium is located on North Boulevard between Cass Street and Kennedy Boulevard. For a map of location please click HERE.

Race Goody Bag, Shirt Pick-up and Late Registration ($5) will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Race Morning and will be located under the stadium seating at the entrance to Art & Polly Pepin Stadium.

If your children are pre-registered, please allow plenty of time for picking up their Race Goody Bags/Shirts prior to the start of the Race Day Activities at 9:00 a.m. It is recommended that you arrive no later than 8:30 a.m.

The Race Day Schedule is as follows:

· 8:30 A.M.  Late Registration/Packet Pick-up:  UNDER BLEACHER SEATING

· 8:45 A.M.  Announcements: STAGE

· 9:00 A.M. Stretching/Fitness with T-BONE: STAGE

· 10:00 A.M 9-10 Year Olds: TRACK    One-mile

· 10:30 A.M. 7 Year Olds: TRACK        1/2- mile

· 10:45 A.M. 8 Year Olds: TRACK        1/2- mile

· 11:00 A.M. 5 Year Olds   TRACK       1/8- mile

· 11:15 A.M. 6 Year Olds   TRACK       1/8- mile

· 11:30 A.M. 2 Year Olds   INFIELD      30- yards

· 11:45 A.M. 3 Year Olds INFIELD      30- yards

· NOON       4 Year Olds   INFIELD       30- yards

Race Day Special Activities will feature the following:

· Mendez Foundation Craft Activity Area With “Carmen & Wagner”

· WQYK’s Chad Brock & Super Prize Machine

· GEICO “GECKO” Appearance

· Kellogg’s Tony The Tiger

· Tampa Bay Lightning “Thunderbug”

· University of Tampa “Spartan”

· Food & Beverage Concessions Offered By The UT Cross Country & Track Team

· Face Painters & Balloon Twisters
