TOO GOOD FOR DRUGS JR. GASPARILLA DISTANCE CLASSIC

The 2009 Too Good For Drugs Jr. Gasparilla Distance Classic will take place on the University of Tampa Campus at the Art & Polly Pepin Stadium. Pepin Stadium is located on North Boulevard between Cass Street and Kennedy Boulevard.

Packet pick-up and Late Registration ($5) will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will be located under the stadium seating at the entrance to Art & Polly Pepin Stadium. As your children are pre-registered and Race Day activities will begin at 9:00 a.m., it is recommended that you arrive no later than 8:30 a.m., giving yourself plenty of time to pick-up packets and shirts, and not miss any of the pre-race announcements and stretching.

The Race Day Schedule is as follows:

·Late Registration/Packet Pick-up 8:30 A.M. UNDER STADIUM

·Announcements 8:45 A.M. STAGE

·Stretching/Fitness with T-BONE 9:00 A.M. STAGE

·9-10 Year Olds 10:00 A.M. FIELD One-mile

·7 Year Olds 10:30 A.M. FIELD 1/2- mile

·8 Year Olds 10:45 A.M. FIELD 1/2- mile

·5 Year Olds 11:00 A.M. FIELD 1/8- mile

·6 Year Olds 11:15 P.M. FIELD 1/8- mile

·3 Year Olds 11:30 P.M.` INFIELD 30- yards

·4 Year Olds 11:45 P.M. INFIELD 30- yards

 

Race Day Special Activities will feature the following:

· Mendez Foundation Craft Activity Area With “Carmen & Wagner”

· WQYK’s Chad Brock & Super Prize Machine

· GEICO “GECKO” Appearance

· Kellogg’s Tony The Tiger

· Tampa Bay Lightning “Thunderbug”

· Tampa Bay Rays “Raymond”

· University of Tampa “Spartan”

· USF’s Rocky the Bull

· Food & Beverage Concessions Offered By The UT Cross Country & Track Team

· Face Painters & Balloon Twisters
