Marathon finish you are most proud of and why: My first - Baltimore 2003. My
first marathon was special because I had only taken up running three years
prior to that. The marathon seemed like such an lofty, unreachable
goal...and that was my reason for deciding to run one. But with training and
a great network of support - both runner & non-runner friends I ran and
finished, 4:05. Three years later and I'm hooked!

1st Marathon: Miami marathon 2004
# of Marathons Completed: 18 marathons
Marathon PR: 4:02 Olathe, KS
Marathon Finish Most Proud of? My first marathon (Miami) the day was a rainy day. Since it was my first race I did not know that they will still run it even with forecast of rain. It was pouring rain for most of the part of the race. The crowd support was minimum. And, it was my first race. I never experienced the hardship of completing a marathon. When I saw the finish line, it was the most rewarding experience for me to finish my first race.

Marathon I was most proud of: I am proud of my first marathon because I trained by all myself when I was 21 years old and in college. I'm ashamed to say, but amazed, that most of my training took place after a night of partying. And another memorable marathon that I am really proud of is the 2004 Martian Marathon because I received my PR at that marathon. My longest training run had only been 16 miles, and then I found out I was pregnant the next week!!
# of Ultras: Zilch, and I'll keep it that way. :)
How many Bostons? I'm still working on that but it is my ultimate goal. My PR is 8 minutes shy of my qualifying time.
Other hobbies: Reading, writing, spending time with family and friends.
Pacing experiences: Detroit FreePress ’06 & ’07, Tampa, Air Force. I also paced a friend who walked the Columbus Marathon in 2003.
Running is something that I am so passionate about and would never be able to live without. It keeps me sane and fit in this busy world and makes me feel good.

That’s the encouragement to always do your best!

Pacing Philosophy: The marathon is the end and the beginning of a great journey. What lead you to that point will see you through to the finish. I get so excited and motivated when I see runners reach inside themselves where they never thought possible. With pacing, we'll cross the finish line together!!
